Dr. Walker is the Head Coach of Alamo Area Aquatic Association's
downtown location and, Volunteer Assistant at Trinity University. He is
the former Head Coach of Alamo Heights High School where he led the
Mules to a 2014 Girls State Championship, 2017 Girls Runner-Up spot and,
four top ten finishes at the UIL High School State Meet during his six
year tenure. He was named San Antonio Express News Girls Coach of the
Year in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. In addition, he is the recipient of
the 2014 NFHS Girls Texas State Coach of the Year and, 2014 TISCA Texas
State Girls Coach of the Year. Dr. Walker was named Regional Coach of
the Year for Girls and Boys on five different occasions. At the club
level he has coached at all levels from novice to Olympic Trials. Dr.
Walker earned his Bachelor's Degree from Clarion University of
Pennsylvania, Master's Degree from the University of The Incarnate Word
and, Doctoral Degree from Texas A&M University at College Station. He
is a three time NCAA Division ll All-American and, two time NAIA
Age Group Coach
Rusty Ives is a graduate of University of Texas at San Antonio and also from
Highlands High School. Coach Rusty competed as a Varsity swimmer for the
Highlands Owls and has coached swimmers who have earned numerous honors. His
swimmers have qualified for All State Honors, Sectionals and Texas Age-Group
State Championships. In addition to being the Head Age Group Coach for the San
Antonio Nadadores, Rusty serves as Head Coach of Incarnate Word High School
and Head Coach for the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Swimming Team.
Coach Julie is Head Novice Coach. She is WSI Instructor certified
and has taught swim lessons for over then years. Coach Julie was a varsity
swimmer and water polo player for Edison High School.
Coach Josh was a standout swimmer at Brackenridge
High School and swam for McMurry State in Abilene, Texas. He is a Certified
Lifeguard and teaches swimming for the City of San Antonio.
